AM 1250 Programming Change

We were recently notified that Monica Crowley would end her daily program (6-9 pm on WVKY). Apparently the demands on her time were too great. (She is doing a lot of television.) The network replaced her with "The Jerry Doyle Show."

Check out his program and let us know what you think.

Weeknights 6 - 9 PM on AM 1250 WVKY

Man O' War Church of God

We're excited to welcome Man O' War Church of God to our ministry family on Life 99. Starting Saturday, August 1 you can hear Pastor Mitchell Tolle at 8 AM every Saturday morning on Life 99.

If you missed my recent Focus on the Church interview with Pastor Tolle you missed a real treat. Pastor Tolle is blessed to be a talented painter, author, speaker, teacher, and most importantly, servant of God.

I hope you'll be blessed by their new ministry outreach on Life 99.

Merry Christmas in July!

We wish you and your family a very merry Christmas in July.

I know it’s hot outside and your mind is far from Christmas. And that may have an effect on your Christmas in July spirit, but there are underprivileged children in the Appalachian region of Kentucky and Tennessee who need your help. We have placed blue barrels around central Kentucky so you can help us make life a little easier on these children. Thanks to your kindness and selflessness this year the Mission of Hope will be able to provide school supplies, clothes, hygiene items, toys, and more to needy children.

Look for donation barrels at:

  • Big Blue Bird Early Childhood Center on Eastland Parkway in Lexington

  • Toyota On Nicholasville

  • Specialist in Hair Design, Boston Square Georgetown

  • North East Christian Church in Hamburg

  • Our offices at 501 Darby Creek Rd Suite 62 Lexington

  • Our Studios on Versailles Rd beside the castle in Versailles

    Independence

I’m a bit of a history buff. I’m fascinated by the American generations that came before us. Those who hit adversity head on and not only survived, but thrived. In my lifetime things have been pretty easy relatively speaking. We’ve had no war to compare to the Revolutionary War, Civil War, WWI, or WWII. Even with the recent economic troubles we’ve seen great prosperity compared to generations past. I frequently recall some of my grandfather’s stories about the Great Depression.

I thank God that I was born into such a blessed generation. But I fear our challenge is just now coming to light. Our elected representatives do not appear to have our best interest in mind. We’re seeing unprecedented abuses by the government on its citizens. I fear what our government will do if allowed to continue unchallenged by the people who elected them.

I encourage you to really dig into the issues. It won’t be easy, and it will take a little time, but it is imperative that you be informed. Bypass the fluff headlines of the main stream media, and find out what’s really going on. If you think the biggest news of last week was the death of Michael Jackson you need to do some reading. Find out what our House of Representatives did on Friday, and ask yourself why the media didn’t lead the evening news with that story.

Listening to Christian Radio and Talk Radio is a great start.

It’s time to stop being a bystander, and start being an activist. Write your elected officials, go to a Tea Party, and speak up for what you believe in.

Pray for our leaders, our country, and the church.

    God Bless America!
