Special Thanksgiving Services

Thanksgiving is a time for reflection, and giving thanks for our many blessings. For those unable to attend a service on this special day, we have several opportunities for you to enjoy a special Thanksgiving service recorded this year:

Life 99 WJMM presents the Central Kentucky Christian Church Community Thanksgiving Service at 8 pm the night before Thanksgiving and at 3 pm on Thanksgiving Day.

770 AM Southern Gospel presents the Woodford County Ministerial Association Community Thanksgiving Service on Thanksgiving Day at 2 pm.

Whether you are traveling or staying home for Thanksgiving this year, we hope you are able to enjoy these special services.

Christmas Spirit

I'm really getting into the Christmas spirit early this year. We've been planning our special Thanksgiving and Christmas programming for a while now, and that always helps get in the Christmas Spirit. More on our special programming later.

Each year we work with different organizations to make life a little brighter for those less fortunate. This year we are partnering with Samaritan’s Purse and Operation Christmas Child – Shoebox gift, to help children in need. You can help by visiting www.samaritanspurse.org to learn what is needed. Then you can drop off your shoebox with gifts enclosed at one of the following locations:

In Lexington - Northeast Christian Church, Gardenside Baptist Church, Parkway Baptist Church, Porter Memorial Baptist Church, and Ashland Baptist.

In Nicholasville - Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.

In Richmond - First United Methodist Church.

In Georgetown – First Church of the Nazarene, Georgetown Baptist Church

You can also visit www.samaritanspurse.org to the Zip Code Locator to find a drop off location near you. Those of us with Central Kentucky's Christian Radio want to thank you for your generosity!
